Roy and Karen Kinney – Pinecrest Baptist Church in Millbury, MA
The calendar quickly changed to June! May (into June) was busy with …
-a family trip to Maine to celebrate a baby shower for Amelia’s 4th baby due in the next few weeks.
-a week of family vacation. Thank you to Scott VanDyne & Wayne Shatney for speaking and ministering while we were away.
-a trip to Maine to visit family.
-family celebrations (Caleb 23, Kaia – 7, Declan -3, Kyle & Amelia married 10 years, Nick Rofe – 29, Coralie – 29, nephew Wyatt’s high school graduation and coming up niece Abby’s HS graduation, Amelia – 31, Our Anniversary – 35th, and my dad’s bday & their Anniversary :). We have a lot to celebrate all at once!
-hosting family & friends.
-numerous appointments fill our family calendars that we help each other out with.
-picking gallons of strawberries from our own patch. Up to 20 gallons and still picking!
-a spartan race – no I didn’t run it!
-lots of work. The construction business is booming for Kinney Enterprises.
-and just the daily living kind of stuff. Life is full!
-we added Sunday School again and enjoy the extra time of learning and being together.
-thankful to see Ellen & boys back after the Covid season.
-restrictions lifted in our State and many are comfortable to meet without a mask and it seems like “everyone” in our area is out and about again. We, as a church, have navigated Covid really well. We thank our church family for their love and care for each other and for coming through as a unified group!
-we celebrated Sharon’s retirement during prayer group and appreciated getting to know her career and life story better.
-Emma Hamel (5) shared with the church that she got saved!
-Membership classes, Counseling & Bible studies continue.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support for the ministry here.
Jim and Janice Mitchell – Grace Fellowship Church in Preston, ID
We’ve got Ross and Julene (daughter and son-in-law) moved to Idaho and settled 10 minutes from us PTL.
Church is going well but we do have some bumps in the road. Please pray for the couple that got divorced; she is not willing to meet with the ex to reconcile. We also have another couple that is going through some extreme marital difficulty I was just informed. Then one of the men who is struggling with alcohol had an accident and is in jail with a DUI. No person to person visits are allowed, so it is very difficult to communicate. I’m not trying to air dirty laundry, but we do have some serious prayer needs.
On the other hand, we are seeing some new faces on Sunday, and the services are going well. We enjoyed having Tim and Marsha Weeks from BCP with us this past Sunday.
Janice is going to Atlanta this week for another grandbaby. Please pray for Janelle and Stephen and a healthy baby girl. Janice’s Dad was in the hospital with some bleeding issues, but he has done well.
In July we have help coming to canvas our city with door hangers, and then July 19-21 we have a team from CO who will help us with our Kid’s Adventure in the park (VBS). We have no idea how the LDS families will respond to our invite. Pray for many children to attend.
Tim and Marsha Weeks – Director of Church Facilitation with emphasis on Missionary Care
Please pray for our health issues to improve, treating Lymes among poison ivy which slowed down our Spring projects before our trip.
Also please remember to pray for the Hispanic ministry in FL that continues to bear fruit with the Quintana’s, and that we might be able to visit them at the end of this year.
Please pray for our continued safety in our travels (see schedule above!).
Also for all our family as they plan travels during this summer.
For us to have stamina for the online meetings, travels and adjustments to time zones as well as change that comes with each state we are to visit.
Scott and Marti Owen – Director of ITM; Director of Church Facilitation
Paul warned his readers to put on the armor of God for the spiritual battle, then pleaded with them to pray, “praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints– and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel” (Ephesians 6:18-19 NKJV). God equips to act but expects us to pray. Thank you for joining us in prayer for His work, His battle for churches!
This is our quieter season, yet God has allowed us to be active in churches on weekends and in video meetings throughout the week. Blessings from May:
God provided two eggs of our last dozen: you can keep up with progress on that here: https://scottmartiowen.wordpress.com/dozen/
We were in three churches sharing about our ministry, teaching about transitions and biblical principles for relationships
The ITM team offered a webinar for those interested in helping churches in transition. We plan to repeat it again in June and then offer onsite workshops in the fall
Consulting churches in transition. God gave opportunity to connect with three churches that recently entered into a pastoral transition.
• Eight Week Comprehensive and follow ups. The Basingers completed their Eight Week onsite at the end of May; we now have two churches in the six month remote follow up
• Developing ITM training materials: The introduction Webinar was launched on May 25. The remaining courses need to be completed so that we can offer an ITM Certificate for Interims.
• Prepping for Summer Camps: God supplied back to back Junior Camps that are about 900 miles apart with 9 messages each. June will be prep month and July 11-24 will be our intense speak and travel time.
• Installation Service for Calvary of Rochester: We are honored to speak at the service to celebrate God’s gracious providision of their new pastor, Greg Linscott, on June 20.
• Representing BCP at the GARBC Conference: This is a crucial time for connections with church leaders from around the country. Scott is looking forward to teaming up with Jon Jenks June 28-July 1.
• House projects: On Memorial Day we completed the air conditioner installation with help from some partners! Please pray that we will see some projects get completed before our busy July. Check out progress at https://scottmartiowen.wordpress.com/martis-musings/this-old-house/

SALT updates (Senior Adults Living Triumphantly!)
Bob and Donna Bennett: Donna is having back problems and is having lots of pain. They have a great grandbaby who may need to be taken early due to some complications. They ask for prayer for wisdom as they decide where to go for retirement.
Carol Ciocca: Carol has been in and out of the hospital a lot recently and continues to have severe pain in her back and arm. They have ruled out a heart problem. Pray for the medical team to make wise decisions and for Carol to get some relief from the pain and that she will have a good testimony through it all. Maranatha Baptist Church has a candidate here for Senior Pastor. The vote will be taken June 20 in a special business meeting. Please pray the Lord will make HIS plan clear.
Don and Linda Chilson: They have requested prayer for the recovery of one of their pets after surgery. They are glad that God cares about our pets, too.
