Roy and Karen Kinney – looking forward to 2017!

2019-08-01T12:01:02-04:00

We have seen God's hand of blessing in 2016 and look forward to what He has in store ahead. FAMILY BLESSINGS: Our family has grown!  Kaia-Ann Grace Hansen was officially adopted into our family in November and Leroy & Kiersten were married Thanksgiving weekend.  November was a full month of celebrating! Our family gatherings consist of 16 people with all of us plus spouses, grandkids, foster children, and foster grandchildren.  That is a full life of blessings as each one loves the Lord and serves in our local church. CHURCH BLESSINGS: We have what this second largest city in all of New England needs...the life saving Gospel to share with [...]

“A Living Sacrifice” – journal entry by Mrs. Donna Hart – May 8, 2020

2020-06-12T10:44:32-04:00

"A Living Sacrifice"   - journal entry by Mrs. Donna Hart - May 8, 2020 Two years ago today my new normal began, and I started down a path of hospital stays and tests that would eventually end three months later with a diagnosis of ALS.  It is almost becoming hard to remember the person I was before. I watch people scurrying about and wonder if I really used to be able to do that too...could I really walk out the door, jump in the car, and drive somewhere without giving it a second thought? Could I really just wander all around the house, cook a meal, do the dishes, [...]

Missionary Update – June 23, 2020

2020-06-23T15:43:16-04:00

Dr. Mike Peck – Retired Prayer Letter The Bible has a lot to say about “heart”! I realize that the Old Testament and New Testament references are not focusing on the human organ that beats within our chests. It is interesting to me to think of just a couple of the hundreds of references to “heart.” ~Genesis 6:5 speaks of an evil heart ~Genesis 45:26 speaks of a fainting heart ~Exodus 7:14 speaks of a hard heart ~Numbers 32:7 speaks of a discouraged heart ~Deuteronomy 4:9 speaks of a forgetful heart Do you suppose that is why Proverbs 4:23 reminds us that the heart is to be guarded? I do [...]

Rob and Beth Worthington – Emmanuel Baptist Church in Hamlin, NY

2020-02-03T14:31:51-05:00

Revitalization – God’s Plan for Struggling Churches God’s hand of leading is perfectly clear in hindsight. As we looked back one year to the possibility of transferring to Florida to minister, God quickly turned our direction back to New York State. It was virtually instantaneously! A week and a half after we were ready to sign a rental agreement in Florida, we were living in Hilton, NY! I don’t believe any of that was a mistake. God turned us away from Hilton until His timing was right. As of March 1st of last year, we began our ministry at Emmanuel Baptist Church. For the first month we sat back and watched as ministry took [...]

Jim and Janice Mitchell – Fort Collins, CO

2019-08-01T12:00:47-04:00

A key word for us this year has been transition.  At the end of 2017 we were beginning our transition out of Thousand Oaks, CA. After ministering there for 3 years, the Lord brought that church back to a position where they could again call a full-time pastor.  As we sought God's will for our lives, two churches in CO contacted us for help. The one church was a new plant, two and a half years old, whose pastor was leaving to help plant another church.  It was comprised of young families and filled with promise.  This is the church we believed God wanted us to help, so at the [...]

12 Ways to use “Pardon our Dust”

2019-08-01T12:00:47-04:00

Building a beautiful marriage is strikingly similar to building a beautiful house. In any construction project there is a certain amount of dust which is the evidence of progress being made. While there may not be literal dust in constructing a beautiful marriage, there certainly is evidence that it is taking place. All of us at Baptist Church Planters are excited to announce that my latest book is now available for purchase. We want to put it in the hands of every pastor, church librarian, Biblical counselor, small group Bible study leader, and couple of every age!  May we present to you a dozen ways this exciting new book can [...]

Paul and Janet Robinson – Pennsauken, NJ

2019-08-01T12:00:47-04:00

Greetings from New Jersey! Please allow me to share with you some of the things that the Lord has been doing in our ministry during the past year! After twenty-three years of meeting in a converted 3-bedroom row-house in the City of Camden, one of the poorest cities in the nation, on January 7, 2018, we were able to relocate to the Township of Pennsauken by renting four rooms at a Lutheran Church. We presently conduct our Sunday morning service in their fellowship-hall while our nursery children, primaries and teens meet in three additional rooms. In Camden, we have ministered the gospel to hundreds of families, and have seen many [...]
