All new children in the Living Lights program (grades 1-6) receive an entrance folder when they register. This is an initial test folder which introduces the club program to the clubber and his parents. A handbook is given upon completion of the entrance test.

It also tells the new clubber how to begin earning awards, and it requires the child to learn some basic facts about the club. Grades 3-6 have additional verses to learn.
