Celebrations
We celebrated the beauty of God’s Creation at Judy Kane’s Garden Party for the Ladies. It was a great time of outreach and visiting with refreshing reminders from God’s Word.
Ken W. celebrated his 80th birthday with family. We celebrate with him and are so thankful for his spiritual growth and example in our church.
Our homes were full of family as we celebrated more birthdays and anniversaries! Caleb turned 25, Kaia 9, Declan 5, and Amelia and Kyle celebrated 12 years of marriage with an overnight stay on the coast of MA.
Loss
Our sweet dog of 14 years, Tessa, died on Mother’s Day weekend. Tessa was a gift to our children after having lost their pets (leaving them behind to travel for missions) and finally having land to have a pet again. Tessa was the most hospitable and loving dog. She was a part of everyday living and we are still trying to get used to her being gone. We had a little family service and buried here under the bleeding-heart plant in the front garden on Mother’s Day. It was very hard on the tender little hearts in our lives.
Both Bob and Steve recently had family members pass away. Pray for these families as they comfort one another and the Hope of the Gospel is shared.
Updates
- Mary Jane’s knee replacement surgery was cancelled last minute. She needed to be cleared for surgery with a chemical stress test which pushes her surgery out to August.
- We purchased our new church refrigerator with the contributions made in memory of Deb’s Mom, Gloria. We SO needed a new refrigerator!
- Our new church sign is in order.
- We continue to have visitors and returning visitors.
- Membership Classes have begun in Sunday School for both adult and children. It’s also a great reminder to us of the importance and WHY of church membership.
- VBS registrations are coming in for our Keepers of The Kingdom Program in July!
- We enjoy our Prayer Group times on Wednesday nights.
