Ministry Update – Tim and Susan Heinrich, serving Crossroads Baptist Church in Tracy,

2022-04-05T12:00:38-04:00

Tim and Susan Heinrich - Crossroads Baptist Church in Tracy, CA In preparing for this current ministry update I went back and reread what we had written in 2019. It was both encouraging and discouraging. It was so encouraging to remember what God was doing in 2019. It was also very encouraging to be reminded of how God specifically answered many of the requests in this update! It was also a bit discouraging, to realize that we are, in many ways, back to where we were three years ago, and looking forward again. So, I’m going to parallel the two reports. Ministry update in pre-covid 2019 Ministry update [...]

Missionary update – March 24, 2022

2022-03-28T09:18:23-04:00

Brent and Michele Howard – missionary builders, finishing at Norton Baptist Church With the warmer temperatures last weekend, I have begun to look earnestly for signs that Spring is coming!  I love the symbolism of spring in relation to the new life we have in Christ. I look forward to celebrating Easter and remembering the great cost our Lord and Savior paid so that we could be reconciled with our Heavenly Father. Rejoice in the new life provided through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. He is risen indeed! Around the Howard household there is much cause for rejoicing. In our last letter I mentioned that Ryanne was in [...]

David Joseph Whipple – we will honor his legacy

2021-09-17T14:33:30-04:00

David Joseph Whipple Oct. 22, 1950 ~ Sept. 1, 2021 Baptist Church Planters has a wonderful heritage of godly men and women who have served and given sacrificially for the mission of this agency – assisting churches and their missionaries to do their Great Commission work. The legacy left by these men and women is revered by those of us serving now, and we are striving to honor their individual legacies. Our tremendous heritage increased with the Homegoing of BCP’s Executive Vice President, David Whipple, whose legacy is one of faithful stewardship and service to the Lord. One of our missionaries that David served said [...]

The unique ministry of Bob and Penny Toomer

2020-12-14T14:20:52-05:00

Bob and Penny have ministered in Utah for 34 years and have been privileged to assist 3 mission churches, 1 established church and helped build a Christian ranch/camp ministry in central Utah. They have 4 grown children and have been blessed with 8 grand children. They also helped start the horsemanship program at another independent Baptist camp in Utah which they are still involved with on a yearly basis. Bob has never felt the call to be the lead pastor of a church. We have always come alongside another pastor and ministered together as a team. The Lord has truly blessed us with the privilege of serving with Ron [...]

Miguel and Ana Maria Quintana – Iglesia Bautista Hispana Starkey

2020-06-11T14:16:37-04:00

Miguel and Ana, both from Colombia, South America, faithfully served in ministry for over 20 years in several Latin American countries before coming to the United States. While planting a church in Waterloo, Iowa, Miguel and Ana realized they needed to partner with a mission agency, so in 2000 they attended Baptist Church Planters’ candidate school and became official missionaries. They faithfully built up the body of believers in Waterloo and are now presently serving at another church plant, Iglesia Bautista Hispana Starkey in Seminole, FL (meeting at Starkey Road Baptist Church.) Miguel and Ana are continually busy discipling families and individuals in their congregation of about 80 people. [...]

Ron and Sandy Cornell – missionary builders

2020-05-13T15:43:46-04:00

Ron and Sandy Cornell have been missionary builders since 2007 after thirty years in the work world. Ron was able to retire early while still “young enough” to keep up with Brent Howard. The Cornells share, “It has been rewarding, and we would do it  again! The Lord has blessed us with good health, good retirement, a truck and 5th wheel. It has been our privilege to serve the churches we have worked on. We have been part of approximately 17 projects, some longer than others but all rewarding. The places we have seen and the people we have worked with are priceless. Ron will be 70 this [...]
