January flew past with a respite in traveling that allowed us to attend our local church on Sundays, Prairie Flower Baptist Washington, IA. Weekly Leadership Journey groups, coaching and other training was done remotely.

February is back on the road. God allowed us to discover a problem with a front brake on our car as we were returning from a funeral at Calvary Baptist of Grinnell, Iowa on January 31. We were still 45 miles away from home when we left it to be towed. A good friend from our church picked us up and took us home! We were able to attend a Baptist church in our hometown so that Scott could fill the pulpit. Monday our mechanic fixed our car so we could be on the road later that day to travel to Ankeny, Iowa for the FBBC Refresh Conference.

The conference is February 4 – 7. This is a great opportunity to connect with pastors and wives from all around. Even though we are there to represent Baptist Church Planters we benefit from the refreshing atmosphere!

Scott gets to preach on February 9 at Prairie Flower. He then flies out to Colorado on February 14 for the 25-year celebration of a BCP church plant in Pueblo, Colorado. The end of the next week we are joining BCP staff in Indiana for a planning meeting. Then we go to Walnut Park Baptist of Muscatine, Iowa for Scott to fill the pulpit on the 23rd.

In March Scott has his six month follow up appointment with his cardiologist. He has received great counsel for a new eating plan and an exercise program.

March 2-6 we are teaching at a Family Conference in Cumberland, Iowa.
