Wayne and Shanna Dale – Scottsdale, AZ

The people at Grace Baptist Church have faced some great challenges, but they also have seen God work in greater ways.  In 2015 they were without a pastor, meeting in a building that held 60 people, and were down to about 12 members.  Yet God was not finished with them.  Through past discussions with a real estate agent, and the help of deacon Michael Ronning, the group engaged in a transaction of faith and sold their present building and property to a developer, and moved 4 miles to a new church property that seated over 200.  This new property included over 11,000 sf with 2 buildings.  The prior church people [...]

Meet Tim and Susan Heinrich in CA

John 14:1-3 says, “Let not your heart be troubled...In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” This Christmas, Crossroads Baptist Church in Tracy, CA, had a special program where each family brought a presentation of part of the Christmas story. There were readings, drama, music and multimedia presentations. As the program drew to a close, we began to see that God had orchestrated it all, [...]

Ready to build in Buckeye, Arizona

Church planting is a labor of love. In a Church plant with a majority of new believers, things move much more slowly, people develop less quickly, and the greatest challenge besides laborers is financing. God allowed Desert Hills Baptist Church to raise $230,000 towards the purchase of land and to close escrow in February. We are truly grateful for His provision.  We currently are trying to raise monies to move forward with developing the land the Lord has provided.   Building in the west is unique in that the costs associated are often higher than they would be in the Midwest or other places.  We are looking at spending  over $600,000 simply in site costs and permits.   We are [...]

The Documents and Christian Ethics ~ Dave Little

The day was planned.  Invitations were distributed throughout the community. It all started when a couple of believing families moved to an area and didn’t find a church of their convictions.  They started meeting to study the Bible and pray.  After researching the area and churches, they came to the conclusion that they should start a church.    Not knowing exactly how to start a church, they contacted a former pastor.  He led them to contact a Baptist church planting agency.  They learned early on the importance of “the documents.”  They learned that they needed to adopt a Statement of Faith and write a Constitution.  These founding documents would define the [...]

Choosing the Good Part

Luke 10:41  And Jesus answered and said unto her, "Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things" What a wonderful Candidate Class we had in August! We were blessed with three couples who have a heart for ministry. Chip and Karen Wood’s ministry will be with our “Joy Club.”  We are so excited as we hear Chip share his heart for reaching children for Christ.  This is thrilling for me as this has been a passion of mine for over 60 years.  Carlos and Issa Vasquez have a burden and love for the Hispanic people.  Their desire is to disciple them to know the Lord on a personal [...]

Choosing the Good Part2019-08-01T12:01:25-04:00

Dr. Ernest Pickering was a great preacher.  How do I know that?  First, many loved to hear him teach the Word of God.  Second, I can remember almost every message I ever heard him preach. One time I asked Dr. Pickering about his personal message preparation.  He was very honest with me.  After the visit, I began to follow his pattern.  Here it is: 1.       He would first read the passage 15-25 times and then sit and meditate on the passage.  He said that we are too soon to dive into the passage, seeking to develop the message. 2.       He would then let the passage “come to him.”  That means [...]

Brad and Marie Hansen have been with Baptist Church Planters since September 2009. They have been privileged to be a part of God's work in a small town of 400 that is twenty miles from the nearest conservative Bible preaching church. Community Regular Baptist Church was started in the spring of 2009 and officially organized by October of 2009. God has blessed this group of people with a new facility that is just one year old with some finish work still being accomplished. We are located on a [...]

President’s Challenge – April 2012

I was given a book last year called “The Valley of Vision.”  It is a book of prayers from the Puritans.  It has blessed my soul.  I bought one for each of my children and also my pastor.  I read just one a day, but how rich and deep is each prayer.  Our staff has been on the road having significant ministry opportunities.  I was recently atPleasant HillBaptistChurchinSmithville,Ohio.  The church sits out in the country.  The odor from the surrounding farms is refreshing if you are a “country boy” like I am.  The church defies logic.  It is not near any village or town.  It isn’t easy to find.  Yet, [...]

Our History

Our History There is no greater fulfillment than investing in something that will outlast you.  The history of BCP is the story of how visionary men and women have established sound fundamental Baptist churches throughout North America.  These churches established in the past join the dozens of current church plants that are an investment into eternity. 1990 - A Small Beginning On May 25, 1990, Baptist Church Planters was born in the hearts of seven missionary men who were earnestly praying and seeking God’s will about reaching the lost of North America.  They purposed to start a mission agency that would “meet America’s greatest need.”  Together they determined this agency [...]
