Miguel and Ana Maria Quintana – Iglesia Bautista Hispana Starkey

2020-06-11T14:16:37-04:00

Miguel and Ana, both from Colombia, South America, faithfully served in ministry for over 20 years in several Latin American countries before coming to the United States. While planting a church in Waterloo, Iowa, Miguel and Ana realized they needed to partner with a mission agency, so in 2000 they attended Baptist Church Planters’ candidate school and became official missionaries. They faithfully built up the body of believers in Waterloo and are now presently serving at another church plant, Iglesia Bautista Hispana Starkey in Seminole, FL (meeting at Starkey Road Baptist Church.) Miguel and Ana are continually busy discipling families and individuals in their congregation of about 80 people. [...]

Ron and Sandy Cornell – missionary builders

2020-05-13T15:43:46-04:00

Ron and Sandy Cornell have been missionary builders since 2007 after thirty years in the work world. Ron was able to retire early while still “young enough” to keep up with Brent Howard. The Cornells share, “It has been rewarding, and we would do it  again! The Lord has blessed us with good health, good retirement, a truck and 5th wheel. It has been our privilege to serve the churches we have worked on. We have been part of approximately 17 projects, some longer than others but all rewarding. The places we have seen and the people we have worked with are priceless. Ron will be 70 this [...]

Revitalization – God’s Plan for Struggling Churches God’s hand of leading is perfectly clear in hindsight. As we looked back one year to the possibility of transferring to Florida to minister, God quickly turned our direction back to New York State. It was virtually instantaneously! A week and a half after we were ready to sign a rental agreement in Florida, we were living in Hilton, NY! I don’t believe any of that was a mistake. God turned us away from Hilton until His timing was right. As of March 1st of last year, we began our ministry at Emmanuel Baptist Church. For the first month we sat back and watched as ministry took [...]

Our Journey to Permanency - Pinecrest Baptist Church Our journey has been a long circuitous one, a journey of ups and downs, buying and selling, moving and settling, losing and growing, renovating and fixing, faltering and trusting; this journey of Faith taking us one step at a time without seeing the end result.  Yet, looking back and seeing the hand of our Sovereign God in all of it guiding the way, directing our paths, growing our faith, establishing His Church and securing our permanent home. Man has his own plans and supporting churches do too.  Whether it’s a three or five or seven year plan to completing a Work, [...]

Tim and Susan Heinrich – Crossroads Baptist Church in Tracy, CA

2019-12-20T13:08:50-05:00

This year Tim and Susan Heinrich have been focusing on the NEXT STEPS for Crossroads Baptist Church in Tracy, CA. Due to the high turnover of this community, they have planted and replanted multiple times.  They are three years into the most recent group of families and the blessing of a permanent facility to rent. The focus this year has been on implementing the church’s Values statement. One of the highlights of this year has been outreach events, such as a couples’ retreat and a Passover Seder, which reached 15 new families. A record-high Vacation Bible School saw over 100 children reached and two clear professions of salvation. Praise [...]

Peter and Mary Lou Jenks – Victory Baptist in Fullerton and Grace Baptist in Genoa, NE

2019-12-20T13:10:54-05:00

Report from Peter and Mary Lou Jenks: It has been a busy and productive summer in Nebraska. One of the highlights was the Day Camp at Whispering Cedars Baptist Camp, which is located between the two church plants where we serve. Buses arrive on Monday morning and bring children K-6th grade to the camp.  Most of these children attend our JOY Clubs at Victory Baptist Church in Fullerton and Grace Baptist Church in Genoa. This year over 100 children were ministered to at the camp. The program was led by two mission groups that teamed up: one from Lincoln, NE, and the other from Ames, IA. The closing program [...]

Nathan and Stephanie Sharratt – Servants Baptist Church, Camden, NY

2019-08-01T12:00:45-04:00

Are you discouraged? Have you been downcast? Do you know others who feel faint-hearted? Chapter six of Galatians is God’s instruction for us how we are to deal with the frailties of this life. Hear this in Galatians 6:9-10 “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.  (10)  As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.” It is hard for me to think of Jeremiah, the weeping prophet of the Bible. This man continued to be faithful in such adverse conditions. Praise the [...]

Adam and Elizabeth Zamora – Desert Hills Baptist Church

2019-08-01T12:00:45-04:00

Serving Christ is undoubtedly an inheritance we can never lose and a joy that can never be diminished, and the body at Desert Hills Baptist is blessed beyond measure. While spring reminds us of new life coming, we have been reminded of new blessings bestowed and upcoming here in Buckeye, Arizona. This is how BCP missionary church planter and wife, Adam and Elizabeth Zamora feel! The ministry has seen growth not just in numbers (we now host an 8:45 and 10:30 service to help with parking and seating) but in ministry participation. We have recently finished a sermon series on Christian Habits. Families were excited to share steps they need [...]

Jim and Sharon Solomon – Galilean Baptist Church in Fairmont, WV

2019-08-01T12:00:47-04:00

We are so privileged to be serving in West Virginia at Galilean Baptist Church.   As in most churches, we have our ups and downs. We started 2018 saying goodbye to one of our key men who was promoted to glory in early January.   Even in that we have been able to see God’s mighty hand at work. Jim Evan’s prayer for as long as we have been at Galilean is that his 2 daughters and their families would start attending church again and that the family members who are not saved  would get saved. Since Jim’s home going, his two daughters have been attending regularly with their children, and on [...]

Paul and Janet Robinson – Pennsauken, NJ

2019-08-01T12:00:47-04:00

Greetings from New Jersey! Please allow me to share with you some of the things that the Lord has been doing in our ministry during the past year! After twenty-three years of meeting in a converted 3-bedroom row-house in the City of Camden, one of the poorest cities in the nation, on January 7, 2018, we were able to relocate to the Township of Pennsauken by renting four rooms at a Lutheran Church. We presently conduct our Sunday morning service in their fellowship-hall while our nursery children, primaries and teens meet in three additional rooms. In Camden, we have ministered the gospel to hundreds of families, and have seen many [...]
