National Conference on Hispanic Outreach Report After seeing the need for Hispanic ministry leaders,  both English and Spanish-speaking to coordinate efforts in reaching Hispanics for Christ here in the US, Herb and Wanda Taylor began NCHO, National Conference on Hispanic Outreach: a Hispanic Think Tank. NCHO meetings have been held annually in Greenville, SC, since 2014 as well as in Arizona in 2017 and in California in 2018. The purpose of  NCHO is to ENCOURAGE and EQUIP Hispanic ministry leaders. Nathan and Stephanie Sharratt – Servants Baptist Church, Camden, NY

2019-08-01T12:00:45-04:00

Are you discouraged? Have you been downcast? Do you know others who feel faint-hearted? Chapter six of Galatians is God’s instruction for us how we are to deal with the frailties of this life. Hear this in Galatians 6:9-10 “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.  (10)  As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.” It is hard for me to think of Jeremiah, the weeping prophet of the Bible. This man continued to be faithful in such adverse conditions. Praise the [...]

Adam and Elizabeth Zamora – Desert Hills Baptist Church

2019-08-01T12:00:45-04:00

Serving Christ is undoubtedly an inheritance we can never lose and a joy that can never be diminished, and the body at Desert Hills Baptist is blessed beyond measure. While spring reminds us of new life coming, we have been reminded of new blessings bestowed and upcoming here in Buckeye, Arizona. This is how BCP missionary church planter and wife, Adam and Elizabeth Zamora feel! The ministry has seen growth not just in numbers (we now host an 8:45 and 10:30 service to help with parking and seating) but in ministry participation. We have recently finished a sermon series on Christian Habits. Families were excited to share steps they need [...]

Jim and Sharon Solomon – Galilean Baptist Church in Fairmont, WV

2019-08-01T12:00:47-04:00

We are so privileged to be serving in West Virginia at Galilean Baptist Church.   As in most churches, we have our ups and downs. We started 2018 saying goodbye to one of our key men who was promoted to glory in early January.   Even in that we have been able to see God’s mighty hand at work. Jim Evan’s prayer for as long as we have been at Galilean is that his 2 daughters and their families would start attending church again and that the family members who are not saved  would get saved. Since Jim’s home going, his two daughters have been attending regularly with their children, and on [...]

Paul and Janet Robinson – Pennsauken, NJ

2019-08-01T12:00:47-04:00

Greetings from New Jersey! Please allow me to share with you some of the things that the Lord has been doing in our ministry during the past year! After twenty-three years of meeting in a converted 3-bedroom row-house in the City of Camden, one of the poorest cities in the nation, on January 7, 2018, we were able to relocate to the Township of Pennsauken by renting four rooms at a Lutheran Church. We presently conduct our Sunday morning service in their fellowship-hall while our nursery children, primaries and teens meet in three additional rooms. In Camden, we have ministered the gospel to hundreds of families, and have seen many [...]

Brent and Michele Howard – missionary builders

2019-08-01T12:00:48-04:00

Brent and Michele began in the ministry of building churches – building lives in 2007 under Baptist Missionary Builders.  They received much informal guidance from the leadership at BCP as they were getting started as missionaries and were thrilled when in 2010 BMB merged with BCP to form ChurchCare Construction. During their 11+ years of serving in this ministry, they had been privileged to work alongside their coworkers, Ron and Sandy Cornell.  Other missionaries have come and gone during that time, but the Cornells have ministered with us right along.  Together they have contributed to 30+ projects in various forms ranging from complete new buildings up to 20,000 sq. ft. [...]

Orlando and Debbie Collazo – Lorain, OH

2019-08-01T12:00:48-04:00

The Lord has been doing many different things at Fellowship Baptist Church in Lorain, Ohio.  We have had the opportunity to reach out to our community in diverse ways.  One way is through our “open gym” nights where approximately 15-20 local teens and college students come, play basketball, and listen to the teaching of the Word and the Gospel.  We have so far had 3 individuals entrust their lives to God through this ministry.  Please keep praying for the many that come and hear about Christ but have not yet entrusted their lives to Jesus our Lord. Another community outreach has been visiting the local shelter and taking food and [...]

Fran Cupples – Fullerton, NE

2019-08-01T12:00:48-04:00

The Many Hats of Fran Cupples - In 1994 Fran Goodspeed lived in Omaha, NE, with her youngest son. At  Whispering Cedars Baptist Camp lived director and widower Roy Cupples. During a conference Roy noticed Fran at the piano, invited her out for lunch, and began a relationship leading to marriage and ministry together. They continued at the camp until 2003 when they decided to focus on one ministry—Victory Baptist Church in Fullerton, NE. They ministered to the church family and also served on the community Chamber of Commerce. They began praying about a church plant in the neighboring town of Genoa and in 2012 the first service at Grace [...]

Sheryl Ridley – Gretna, NE

2019-08-01T12:00:48-04:00

Sheryl Ridley has retired after 32 years of very active church planting ministry.  Sheryl joined BCP in 1991 with husband, Roger, after twelve years in the pastorate in Grand Island, NE. The Lord directed them to Gretna in 1995 as a place needing a church planted. The first service of Gretna Baptist Church was September 7, 1997, and the church graduated from mission status on September 7, 2008. At their first service in the new building in March of 2006, they commissioned a team to plant a church in nearby Bennington. They also began searching for the next place to plant a church, and the Lord directed their [...]

Bob and Penny Toomer – Grantville, UT

2019-08-01T12:00:59-04:00

Bob and Penny Toomer moved to Utah thirty-one years ago to help establish Baptist churches. They have been involved with four mission churches and helped start a Christian ranch. They are currently serving  at  Mountain  View  Baptist Church in Grantsville in a number of capacities:  youth leader, assistant pastor, filling the pulpit when the missionary pastor, Ron Ehmann, is traveling and doing small group Bible studies. Another major part of our ministry is traveling extensively doing round pen demonstrations for churches as an outreach. This unique ministry allows people to hear the gospel while watching the training of a horse in the round pen.  Bob and Penny enjoy being active [...]
