This past weekend we had the Preston Rodeo. It is a big event with a lot of visitors in town. Our church has had a lemonade stand for several years but as of last year we stopped selling the lemonade and started giving it away. This year we gave out about 1,000 cups of what many satisfied customers call the best lemonade in town. It is amazing the new found enjoyment there is in giving away something rather than trying to sell it. I asked one guy if he wanted some free lemonade and he replied, how much is it? It is a joy to explain that we want to give to our community not take, just as God gives grace through his Son Jesus. Our slogan is “The grace of Jesus quenches our thirst.” Please pray with us that a small gift of lemonade would be used to awaken folks to the free gift of salvation through Jesus.
