Greetings – ChurchCare Construction Volunteers!
“Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:24
This is one of many verses that reminds me of our Lord Jesus’ faithfulness to the Heavenly Father, His ultimate plan and His faithfulness to those He has called out of darkness into light. He also will bring His plan to pass. This is undeniable. Because of this, we are humbled that His plan is to use us as clay vessels to hold and carry the most valuable treasure ever, Him to the world. We get to be ambassadors and heralds of His good news of salvation! This is done in many ways, and we are excited at ChurchCare Construction to help churches active in disciple making and church planting to build houses of prayer to assist in the great commission. We regularly give thanks to the Lord Jesus for you and your willingness to volunteer and pray for this ministry. We see the results of such prayer.
We have completed Bible Baptist Church of Quakertown, Pennsylvania’s first house of worship and prayer, a beautiful 9400 square foot church building since our last quarterly prayer article.
ChurchCare is preparing to begin our next large project for Grace Baptist Church of Pennellville, New York. This will be a 8300 square-foot church building. Rough grading and foundations are projected for later this summer and early fall there in New York.
In the meantime, Jimmy and Abby Stevenson have relocated to Charles City, Iowa to assist Temple Baptist Church build an ADA toilet and remodel their sanctuary and foyer. Temple Baptist has been tackling several exterior projects over the past year to sharpen up their building as a key ministry tool for reaching their community and we are happy to come alongside them on these two smaller interior projects.
ChurchCare is also excited about this being Jimmy’s first opportunity as project manager. I remember my first project management opportunity back in 1989, and I know I welcomed prayer. I imagine Jimmy would appreciate prayer, too. Brent and Michele Howard have just returned from a week at Crossroads Baptist Church, Tracy, California, helping them construct a ministry area that will help draw in this church’s highly multicultural neighborhood for the gospel’s sake.
Thanksgivings:
- We are working through candidating steps for another full-time missionary builder couple!
- The Lord’s continued guidance and provision for His ministry in and through ChurchCare
- For the wisdom and guidance of our Board of Directors and their activities within our board’s sub-committees that keep us sharp as a ministry.
Please pray for:
- Builder and volunteer safety on the job each day.
- Opportunities to share Christ with the sub-contractors, inspectors, and other who come on site who may not know Christ.
- Discipleship opportunities for the builders as they work closely with members and attenders of the churches we are serving.
- Next steps in the candidating process for the full-time builder couple
- Identification of candidates for our board of directors.
- More ways to assist churches with smaller projects, improving our large to small project blend.
