New Ministry Opportunities
Despite the title “retired,” we are far from being bored. We have both had the opportunity to lead online discipleship groups in Minnesota and Colorado during fall and winter.
Beginning in April, Peter will be serving in our local church as he leads a Thursday morning prayer group for those unable to attend on Wednesday evenings. For our mission organization, he has been named the Retired Missionaries Coordinator, which includes communicating with and praying and caring for some 50 missionaries.
Please pray for these endeavors.
Home and Health
Two weeks before our move to Ohio, Peter fell and injured his left shoulder. Since that time, he has seen many doctors and on January 13 he had rotator cuff surgery. He was in a sling for six weeks and not able to drive, and has been doing physical therapy since then and will continue until June. It has kept us busy through the winter months. Otherwise, we are doing well.
Since we moved and before the surgery, much effort has also been extended to get our garage usable as a shop. We are so thankful for family and church family who have helped immensely to make this possible. All that remains is the ceiling—and mentioning that to the physical therapists gives them tremors, as raising your arm above your head after this surgery is a challenge.
Family
We are anticipating much time with family this summer as two of our granddaughters are getting married in July, one in Ohio and the other in Pennsylvania. In addition, our Belgian family will be home again this summer.
We look forward to seeing all of our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. We welcomed a new great-grandson on March 1. He makes seven in total. We must be old for sure, but we really are not retired.
Thank you for your prayers and faithful support.
