Ministry Update

Roy and Karen Kinney

Pinecrest Baptist Church, Millbury, MA

May 2024

May has been a blur of activity!  Here you go…

HOSTING/HOSPITALITY:
  • Work day at the church caring for God’s House.
  • Outing with my friend Patty D. to Dinner & Live Play at Hanover Theater.
  • Tea & Visiting at Bob & Sylvia’s.
  • Cake and Celebration at church for Ken & Sharon’s 59th anniversary.
  • Pastor Tom & Apphia Rofe in our home as they traveled through to Maine.
  • Joe, Laura, Jax, Rob, Elyse, Steve, Lori, Leroy, Kiersten, Ian, Jackson in our home for Dinner and Fellowship.
  • Front Porch visit with Senator Ryan Fattman.
  • Mother/Daughter Banquet at Pilgrim Baptist with my Mom, Sister, Daughter-in-law, and Niece.
  • Mother’s Day honoring Moms at church – One visiting mom came to surprise her daughter. Family in our home for the day.
  • Visits with both neighbors as we left plants and chickens in their care for our family trip.
  • Weekend with Tim, Marsha, and Hannah Weeks housing them in our church apartment.
  • Fellowship meal hosted at church with the Weeks.
  • Grandkids coming and going! Many Family bday & anniversary celebrations.
SO many purposeful times spent investing in the lives of others. It’s a blessing – along with a command for us all.
VACATION:
  • All 26 of Us went on a family vacation in Williamsburg, VA! That is 12 adults and 14 children ten and under:)  YES, we all still love each other:) Thank You, Lord, for our family!
  • The two of us stopped in Lancaster, PA for a couple of days to enjoy “Daniel” at Sight & Sound and, of course, the food Buffets.
  • Thank you to Jason Petraitis who came to speak while we were gone.
PRAYER:
  • God’s continued work in the lives of people as we walk through life with them.
  • Salvation of souls, baptisms, & membership.
  • Our Sutton Community as we just held town/school committee elections and waiting to see where things land.  Our town has been split, fighting, and in the news for the content of their recent Connections (inclusivity) Seminars (Don’t Be a Drag – Be a Queen). It is devastating to see where the hearts of man are and the eyes so blinded for those who have no Biblical World View. Even though we don’t use the school system, we care about our community, and it’s given us an opportunity to show that we care.
  • Michelle P as she heals from open heart surgery repairs.
  • Wanda T as she heals from her surgery and her cancer journey.
  • VBS preparations and Outreach.
  • Wisdom & Strength to serve well.
You are probably tired from reading this! It’s been a full and well lived month!
Thank you for your continued prayers and support.
