Ministry Update

Roy and Karen Kinney

Pinecrest Baptist Church, Millbury, MA

August 28, 2024

The month of August has flown by. Here’s a prayer and praise update.

THANKFUL FOR:
-A successful “Walking Tacos” Open House at our place with 33 in attendance.
-Mary Jane made it out to church and is progressing well.
-Nancy is home from hospital/rehab and is doing better.
-Vacation in Maine enjoying family and the coastline!
-Privilege of attending church with family in Maine and seeing how God is working through them in their service to the local church.
-The men in our church willing to preach and teach while we are away.
-Ladies’ Bible Study started up with 8 ladies in attendance. They picked the Book of Philippians to study together.
-God’s goodness to us and His provision for us as a church.

PRAYER FOR:
-Funeral for Cecil’s husband this Saturday. Cecil’s daughter came to our church last year looking for a place of worship for her mom who is home caring for a husband on hospice. Cecil came the next week and recognized someone she knew and felt right at home the few times that she has been able to attend church. Her husband passed away this week and Roy will conduct the funeral. Pray as we minister to this family.
-Dennis Kane fell and broke his hip and had surgery to put a pin in it. He is up and about and in rehab for nursing care and therapy. Dennis is in his 80’s and struggles with some dementia, so all these new environments are hard.
-Rob is doing rehab from surgery for a torn muscle in his shoulder. Rob attends church with his sister and serves as a Police Officer in Hopkinton.
-Mary Jane as she now does outside therapy twice a week.
-Nancy for strength and better mobility through in home therapy.
-Bob N’s leg to stop draining and heal as he has in home treatments.
-Personal meet ups with people as we seek to encourage applying God’s Word to their everyday lives. Lots of personal stories that stay private, but God is working in the lives of people!
We leave again on Sunday after services to travel to NY. I stay with Alyssa and family and Roy heads to Ohio for ChurchCare Meetings at BCP. We appreciate your prayers for continued safety on the roads, strength, good health, wisdom, and that we can be a blessing to others.
