Ministry Update
Roy and Karen Kinney
Pinecrest Baptist Church, Millbury, MA
March 26, 2025
Dear Prayer Partners,
DID YOU KNOW??
-That Worcester, MA is named after Worcester, England and is New England’s second most populous city after Boston. Worcester is located approximately 40 miles west of Boston, 50 miles east of Springfield and 40 miles north of Providence and is known as the “Heart of the Commonwealth.” Millbury is one of the towns on the line of Worcester and our church reaches into many of the surrounding towns.
PRAISE:
–Baby Ella was born on Valentine’s Day! She joined her family in church right away where we welcomed her with her first Bible and had prayer for the family. (pic)
-We heard the testimonies of the Boyntons and voted them into church membership! They were in our first ministry in N. Conway. We are so glad to have them work alongside us again. (pic)
-We voted to work on some updates for our baby/parent & nursery areas as we are growing in that department. This will include audio/video of services.
-The church voted 100% to call Roy to stay on as their Pastor once Graduation from the mission is done. We are working through details with BCP to move forward on the planning.
-We have 3 faithfully attending couples that are newer in our church. Two found us online. The other couple was a connect through work. All 3 are Christian couples in need of what our church has to offer. We are getting to know each one and marvel at how God is working in all of these lives.
-Nancy O (pic) continues to work on her salvation testimony – she understood the Gospel for herself and received Christ one day when in her home. But she has had a hard time articulating it clearly to us. We’ve had her searching the Scriptures and she calls us daily with “salvation” related verses that she is finding. It’s so good to see her desiring God’s Word for herself.
– A local Mom and her 16 year old son visited on Sunday. Her older son in the Navy in Virginia came to know Christ and then he led his brother to the Lord. The brother in the Navy got online to send him to a good local church and that’s how they found us. Mom said she is Catholic and out of her element (we have many former Catholics in our group), but that she had to bring him to church as the change in her son is remarkable. He had 4 more classes before being confirmed into the Catholic church, but now he has a relationship with Christ!
Enjoy the praises and pray for the many behind the scenes needs and daily life.
Especially pray for Roy’s sister, Nancy, who is not doing well with her cancer.
We also travel to Camden, Maine for the NRBFC conference next week.
