Dear Friends,

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus! Many celebrate the event (Christmas) not knowing the significance of the Gift and what it means to receive this Gift! We are humbled to have received it and to be allowed to share it.

God not only gives eternal life, but He also gives so many good gifts (James 1:17). Below are some of the gifts for which we are grateful!

The gift of His wisdom to provide counsel to pastors. Scott’s certifications in counseling and conciliation opened the door to help pastors navigate some difficult situations. Our hope is that pastors will have direction in times of crisis.

The gift of training opportunities for church leadership teams throughout the Midwest. Scott provided men’s leadership development training at seven locations in six states. Our hope is to see church leadership teams strengthened.

The gift of connections with pastors. Our BCP role sent us to seven events in five different states. We offered resources and connections for those pastors interested in intentional disciple-making and revitalization. Our hope is that pastors will be exposed to resources and to connections with others with similar collaborative interests.

The gift of speaking opportunities on biblical relationships and peacemaking. Scott was used to speak in several church settings, a couple of camps and two retreats for men. Our hope is that as people apply biblical principles they will be more effective in sharing Jesus.

The gift of extra training. The ministry of Relational Wisdom 360 has been a great help for developing life coaching skills. Scott finished an online course in the spring, developed more skills through summer training in Billings, Montana, and started the prework for an advanced online course in January. Our hope is that God will use him to guide pastors to develop stronger relationships and to be able coach their own congregations well.

The gift of partners in ministry. God has given us several (50 in total) churches and family units to pray for and invest in our ministry. Our fellow servants at BCP are also gifts to us. The BCP Family Camp in the summer was fantastic! But the daily prayer meetings online are also impactful.

The gift of family. This year we increased our family connections through a couple of trips out west. One in the summer coinciding with Scott’s Montana training and recently in November as our four kids and their families (8 grands) met up at a B & B in the Colorado mountains.

The gift of His grace to help churches without pastors. We had many ongoing opportunities through the year and look forward to starting 2026 in Colorado Springs, Colorado as we serve four months as interim pastor. Our focus will be helping this church prepare for their next pastor. Our hope is that other churches in Colorado will also want to work together to make stronger disciple-making churches.

Thank you for being gifts to us!

Wishing you a Merry Christmas!

Scott and Marti Owen
