Change...
Hello Prayer Partners!
One week’s difference between these pictures is a good representation of how bi-polar Idaho’s spring weather can be with more snow in the forecast for next week.
I was given the opportunity to speak a few weeks ago at Grace Fellowship Church. I chose to speak on the topic of change. As I studied for the sermon I was reminded of one of the most critical truths as a Christian is to remember that God never changes! (Malachi 3:6) “I the Lord Never change” This passage was intended to remind Israel of God’s promises to them. While we can take confidence in God’s immutability we are reminded that we are supposed to change. 2 Peter 3:18 “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” As Janelle and I watch our children grow and as we learn more about God’s word we pray for our family and our church family to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
Since our last update we’ve been able to visit and fellowship with a group of believers in Grantsville Utah at Mountain View Baptist church. We were honored to be given the opportunity to share how God is working in southern Idaho and take part in their morning worship.
Our kids are growing like weeds! We are grateful for God’s precious gifts! Our hearts are so encouraged to hear Jessa in particular, start asking questions about God. We love hearing their prayers at night before bed. Pray with us that God will continue to draw them to Himself!
This past month we were able to throw a youth banquet for those who completed our winter youth program which consist of scripture memory and other involvement our church. It’s exciting to see our youth pursuing Christ and taking seriously personal spiritual growth!
Pray: for the Bible Studies we are involved in:
1. We are currently doing a New Believer’s Bible Study with a young couple that recently got saved. Pray for their growth in Christ and their knowledge of His word. Pray for the salvation of their families. One of which is 100% LDS and does not understand this “new change”.
2. We are meeting with a few young couples that are engaged or seriously dating. We are so thankful for the opportunity to connect with these couples. Pray that we can be a spiritual encouragement and mentor to them.
3. I am leading a Young Men’s Bible Study. Pray that God will help all involved to take seriously what it means to be a Biblical man.
4. Janelle just started a Bible study with a young lady that has been reaching out to her for spiritual advice. Pray that this study will help ground this young lady in God’s truth.
Pray: for new friendships to blossom for Janelle
God has brought a few new young moms to our church from the community.
Pray: for new partnerships with churches and individuals
Pray: for the health of a man in our church
A man in our church just faced some of the scariest health circumstances one can face including his heart stopping for a full 19 seconds. He now has a pacemaker and has stabilized. He is home with his family, pray doctors will have the wisdom they need to prevent further complications. Also pray as this has serious ramifications on his career including his military service of many years. God has used this already in his life. Pray God will use their testimony as a family in our church and community.

Jim and Janice (Janelle’s Parents) transition to start a new church revitalization work in NE.

Pray for wisdom for our leadership team as they go through this season of change. Pray that God will continue to grow this ministry!
Praise: Since the beginning of the year we’ve have seen our support level grow from 35% to 45%!!! We are so grateful for the financial support in addition to the support you guys give through prayer!
