Quick Prayer Request - 11/22/24

I’ll be meeting with a young man in our youth group today for lunch. I’d ask that you pray for God’s guidance and wisdom in our conversation as we talk about “Missionary dating.” If you aren’t familiar with the term it’s the idea of a Christian dating a non-Christian with the intent of leading them to Lord.

We know that 2 Corinthians 6:14 says Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

Pray that he will be open to the truth of God’s word and open to doing what is necessary to follow Christ. This isn’t an isolated event and is a serious struggle for all of the Christian teens in our youth group. As they take jobs in town there is ever a temptation to date whomever they are attracted to regardless of their religious affiliation.

Thank you for taking the time to join me in prayer!

Update - 12/2/24

Philippians 1:6-7

“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”

Update on Discussion with Youth

Last week I met with a young man from our youth group and discussed the implications of “missionary dating.” We spent time praying together and discussing what the Bible says about being unequally yoked with unbelievers in 2 Cor. 6:14. He was very receptive, but he has chosen to continue in the relationship, and hopes that she will come to Christ. Please continue to pray that God will protect this young man and that he will stay faithful to Christ and truly be a witness to this young lady.

There is one other young man in the youth group that is also “Missionary dating.” Pray that God gives me the wisdom I need to be able to approach him and encourage him to pursue Christ.

A couple of these young men in the youth group are asking to start a Bible Study. I am hoping that I will be able to start one with them soon focusing on biblical manhood. I love the idea of connecting and encouraging them during the week.

This semester we started a new program in our youth group emphasizing Scripture memory and active involvement at church. The teens that achieved a required level qualified to attend a special activity to reward their hard work. Here’s a picture of a group of them and their leaders that made it out of their Escape Room with 20 minutes to spare!!

We are grateful for where God has brought us over the past year of raising support. Please pray with us as we hope to be at full support by the end of 2025. We know that God can make a way and we are grateful for your continued prayers and support! Please spread the word about what God is doing in Preston Idaho. Maybe you attend a church that would want to hear more about our ministry or you can advocate on our behalf with a friend or family member that would be interested in partnering with us.

Thank you for praying,
