September 2024
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
We hope this letter finds you all well and flourishing in the grace of God. We wanted to take a moment to update you on the ministry over these last few months and express our deepest gratitude for your continued prayers and support.
From May through September, we experienced a hectic yet fruitful summer in the Lord’s work:
May– Ulysses traveled to Mississippi to conduct a graduation ceremony. It was a blessed time to celebrate with the students and their families.
June – We hosted a Vacation Bible School with a team from First Baptist Church in Creston, Iowa. Praise the Lord, three people came forward to receive salvation! We had a wonderful time of fellowship with the group, and we are so grateful for their partnership in ministry.
July – We attended a week-long conference in Orlando, Florida. We praise God for the incredible teaching we received and how He spoke to us in various areas of our lives. Sitting under the Word and allowing God to refresh and direct us was such a blessing.
August -We were back in Mississippi for another conference, this time with Thomas Christian Academy. Please join us in praying for the students and the upcoming school year there. That same month, we visited Ulysses’ sisters in Savannah, Georgia. Please lift them in prayer, as his oldest sister is in the early stages of dementia, and his other sister is recovering from a heart condition. We had a meaningful visit and continue to trust God for their health.
September– Ulysses was in Ohio with the BCP planning committee, and now we are back home and settling into our normal schedule.
Prayer Requests:
- Church growth: Please pray for both physical and spiritual growth within our congregation.
- Two families: We ask for prayer that these two families who have been attending would feel led to join our church.
Health Needs:
- Mary is still awaiting a kidney transplant, which we are praying will happen this year.
- Raven, a young lady who had a lung transplant, is facing complications as her body is trying to reject the lung.
- Our niece, Trineise, recently underwent emergency surgery due to a large ovarian cyst. Thankfully, she is recovering well.
We are so grateful for your prayers and support, and we continue to trust God as we labor together in His vineyard. May the Lord continue to bless and sustain each of you, and may we all remain faithful in the work He has called us to.
