November 2025

Dear Praying Friends,

It’s hard to believe that November is here already. 2025 is drawing quickly to a close. As we look at the holiday of Thanksgiving ahead, we are truly aware of how much we have to be thankful for.

Mountain view has seen a number of visitors during the month of October. The shooting of Charlie Kirk has definitely made individuals consider their eternity status and there is a search for truth. Please pray for us as a
Body to be able to minister to the needs and answer questions as they arise.

We have started an adult Sunday School class using the book, Sent. It is a study that helps us un-clutter our lives and look for those every day opportunities to share Christ with others. We are praying that this study will
eventually result in home Bible studies with co-workers and friends instead of expecting the Pastor(s) to be the only ones to do this outreach.

We hosted the Northwest Baptist Mission conference again in September. There were 130 in attendance. It was a great time of updating and fellowship and they honored some of those that have served for many years.

One such couple was Jonathan and Chrissa Edwards. They have been here in Utah for 50 years. Shortly after the conference, Jonathan was involved in a motorcycle/vehicle accident. He was on the motorcycle and
received much damage to his body…a broken pelvis, hip, and a concussion. The worst part is that his left leg was crushed mid-shin and down. His lower leg had to be amputated. They are saying that he will be able to be fitted for a prosthesis in the future but he has a long recovery ahead of him. Please pray for his recovery.

Pastor Ron (and Wendy) have been traveling ministering in other capacities so Bob has been filling in quite a bit in his absence. This will be the last of their traveling trips for this year as the holidays approach.

Bob continues to give riding lessons a couple times a week and will until the weather turns nasty. He has a new dad that has expressed the desire to take lessons. He has a Hindu background and Bob has begun engaging
with him about his religious beliefs. Please pray for wisdom for Bob as he maneuvers in a new sphere of religion.

Three mornings a week Bob is engaged with meetings/ Bible studies online with other men. What a great time of questions, sharing, and encouragement around God’s Word.

An interesting and challenging thought from a recent Bible study: “Your church will only be a growing body if you grow in love for one another.” ( from The Thriving Church: The True Measure of Growth (Function) by Dean H
Taylor.)

We truly praise God for the love in our church but at the same time would pray that our love would grow still more and more.

Our ladies started a new study this month. Everyone is very busy in their areas throughout the week so we really don’t see each other much. This time of study will be a great time of fellowship as well as teaching and sharing
so we look forward to it. Please pray for a couple of our ladies: K, S and S, that have kind of stayed on the outer edge and don’t commit very often outside of attending services, that they will join in and become a special part
of our group.

We were encouraged to learn that one of our supporting churches has increased our monthly financial support. God continues to provide for us in very special ways. What a praise!

Family News:

Heidi and Yonny were married in September in Denver. It was a beautiful God-honoring wedding and a “mini-family” gathering. Bethany and her 2 girls were able to come from Turkey, Melissa, Bobby and family from Ecuador and Ben, Amber and family and Bob and I from Utah. Regretfully, Matthew and Lukas were not able to come. We truly missed them.

We found an Air BNB that would accommodate all of us and we enjoyed watching the grandchildren enjoy being together. We are looking forward to seeing what the Lord has in store for the newlyweds.

As Thanksgiving comes upon us, please take the time to truly reflect on the many blessings the Lord has given. Thank you so much for the love, prayers and financial support throughout the years. We are thankful for you!

Praises:

  • Visitors
  • Pastor Ron and Wendy – safety in their travels
  • Continued provision financially

Prayer Requests:

  • The new adult Sunday School class
  • Jonathan Edwards – recovery
  • Wisdom in sharing the Gospel
  • Outreach to our ladies in the church

Happy Thanksgiving!

In His Wonderful Name,
