Dear Family and Friends,
Typically, I begin writing our prayer letter in my head for several days before attempting to put my thoughts on paper. When I sit down to start writing I open the last prayer letter I wrote to make sure I cover any unfinished thoughts. It was funny to me when I opened the letter written in May, I had totally forgot the theme word I used and this month’s theme word is from the same family, in one way.
A lot has transpired since our last prayer letter. Brent and I have settled in at the site of our new “year-long” project. We are at Grace Baptist Church, 17 Oneida River Road Pennellville, NY 13132, and we are so happy to be here and no longer running all over the place. It is too long of a story to write here how God made it clear to all involved that we were supposed to be at this site for the foreseeable future, but I am grateful for Brent’s foresight to set up the initial and pre-construction meetings with the building committee and for God’s clear leading.
Before we arrived here, our summer was filled with 2 amazing things. First, the opportunity to assist our daughter and son-in-law with the construction of their new home on the site of their property in Natural Bridge, NY (near Carthage, east of Watertown, NY). Second, a trip to Tracy, California that Riley, Brent and I took to assist Baptist Church Planters missionaries, Tim and Susan Heinrich with construction of an ark at their church. They shared this beautiful sight of the kids playing on it during Vacation Bible School and the sunset after VBS.
In between projects, we got to spend some time with extended family. We enjoyed Memorial day weekend with Brent’s family and 4th of July weekend with my family. We also have been able to help Daniel and Ryanne with the grandkids as well as work on their house.
Just last Sunday, August 9, 2026, was the first time that Bible Baptist Church of Quakertown, PA was able to hold a worship service at the site of their new building. Although, we had passed the building inspection, there were multiple exterior site requirements that had to be met. One of the issues was curbing and sidewalks that were not poured to the ADA standards. Although we offered to return to assist with repouring the sidewalks, the church members took it upon themselves to repour under the guidance of the inspector. All the people involved are relieved for this project to be finished. What a beautiful sight to see our friends worshipping God in the building they all sacrificed, prayed, and worked for.
So, our campsite at Grace Baptist Church in Pennellville is located at the current church building across the street from the building project. Brent asked our former construction coordinator, Howard Fraser, to assist on this project. The expertise and equipment that Howie has brought to the site is invaluable. They have moved a lot of material and are busily preparing the site to begin the foundation work.

Within the next year, we will be making the rounds to update our supporting churches. Please let us know what will work for your church. We hope to see many of our individual supporters in this time as well.

Please pray for the Lord’s direction if we are to go to another project site for the winter, because we probably won’t be able to have the building up before this area gets their heavy snowfalls.
