Our old playground structure had become unsafe and needed to be replaced. We were blessed by a visit from Brent and Michele Howard with Church Care Construction through BCP. They worked with Crossroads families to build an ark in one short week, much faster than it took Noah in the Bible. This ark is a playground structure that will serve our church ministries and the Home School Co-op that meets in our building. It is a beautiful, massive structure that can be seen from the road. Because of the Howards, the only cost to the church was the materials. We are thankful for the ministry of the Howards and all who worked with them.

We were blessed to travel to the GARBC Conference at Cedarville University in June. It was refreshing and encouraging to see so many ministry friends. The GARBC featured the ministry in CA by showing a video of the work here in Tracy. Watch the video here. We are thankful for the production skills of TwoTone Ministries. The video spurred many productive conversations about ministry opportunities in California.

We had a float in the Tracy Fourth of July Parade, celebrating 250 Years of Religious Freedom. It was encouraging to hear the crowd sing along to the patriotic hymns.

Vacation Bible School

God answered your prayers and honored the outreach efforts of Crossroads Families. We had a great attendance for VBS, including 13 children from the local neighborhoods where we have been doing targeted outreach in the parks. It was humbling to share the gospel with children who had never heard anything about Jesus. Please pray as we follow up with these families.

Celebrating 20 Years of God’s Faithfulness

2026 marks the 20th anniversary of Crossroads Baptist Church—or as we like to say, the fifth anniversary of Crossroads 4.0. Over the years, God has graciously allowed us to “re-plant” the church in Tracy multiple times as families have come and gone due to the instability of jobs and housing in our area. Yet through every transition, God has remained faithful. He continues to build His church, sending both faithful transplants and new believers for us to disciple.

To celebrate all that God has done, we are planning a special Homecoming Celebration on September 5–6. We are inviting everyone who has been part of Crossroads through the years to join us for a meaningful weekend of fellowship and celebration. Please mark your calendars now—we would love to see you there!

Family Updates

• Tim continues his work with the California Association of Regular Baptist Churches Council. Alongside Pastor Charlie Eldred, he is helping develop an initiative to identify, equip, and deploy men called to pastoral ministry across California, Nevada, and Southern Oregon. This remains a significant burden—your prayers are deeply appreciated.

• Susan is enjoying opportunities to speak at ladies’ retreats and banquets. Please pray for her as she speaks at a ladies’ tea on October 5.

• Janae has begun a new role as a Teacher on Special Assignment, mentoring new teachers within the Tracy Unified School District.

• Samantha is still seeking God’s direction for her next opportunity.  Zach is filling the pulpit in some neighboring churches.  Baby Cameron, now eight months old, is healthy and thriving—praise the Lord!

• Alyssa and Zac have moved into a cute duplex in downtown Tracy and Alyssa is now teaching in her mom’s music department in Mountain House. Zac’s health is much better. Thank you for praying.

• Talitha is continuing online studies to complete her degree, and pursue a career in Special Education. She has developed a Special needs ministry at the church.
