Ministry Update
Roy and Karen Kinney
Pinecrest Baptist Church, Millbury, MA
July 2, 2025
Dear Prayer Partners,
Here’s a summary of June and the many ministry and family time opportunities.
MINISTRY:
-Each Sunday was full as we celebrated our church children, fathers, and the 60th wedding anniversary of Ken & Sharon!
-We continue to hear Christian testimonies of those who want to come into membership. What a privilege to hear of God’s grace in their lives and be part of their spiritual growth as a church.
-We enjoyed a visit from Justin’s brother who led Justin to the Lord and sent him and his mom our way to church. Itiel lives in Virginia and when he visits home will come to our church. Pray for Justin and Ana as they are conflicted and Justin has gone back to the Catholic Church for now.
-We said “Goodbye” to Alan & Jeannie as they are moving for a job change. They have attended for many months and we will miss their presence and participation in our church.
-We hosted a baby shower here at the house for Laura due in July with baby #2! It was a great time of visiting and loving on Laura. Pray for her delivery.
-Lori C hosted a special Ladies’ outreach event at the church. We had a good group of ladies with some first time visitors. Our special speaker, Elaine D, encouraged the women to know Christ and shared her testimony.
-Giovan has been able to join the men’s Coffee on the Porch on Fridays at 6:00 AM since graduating college. It works into his early commute to work (have to beat the traffic around here)!
FAMILY:
-I enjoyed a trip to Moravia, NY to see our daughter, Alyssa and family. Pray for Alyssa as she is due with baby #3 this month as well. While there it was neat to hear Nolan & Meg Murphy present their ministry at Dresserville Bible Baptist Church. He is taking over the maintenance department at Appalachian Bible College and raising support. We know their parents from their years of ministry and Meg knows many of my family members. Small world – nice to see a young couple leaving the fast paced work world to serve in ministry.
-I also enjoyed a trip up to Maine to see my parents and sister, Jen, and our daughter, Amelia & family! Always fun to be with family.
-Roy and I were able to get away to Newport for a night and a relaxing Monday. Our 39th anniversary was on Saturday. We thank the Lord for each other and His plan for us as a couple.
-AND last night we enjoyed a meal out with my sister, Kim, and Nate celebrating her birthday!
I guess it was a full month with many other things sprinkled in between! Thank you for your continued prayers for the ministry here and our family.
