Our next destination was on Lake Erie in Oregon, Ohio. Baptist Church Planters holds a family camp every three years for everyone in the mission.  This was a time of reconnection, encouragement, and revitalization! We spent time in worship with other missionaries from all over the United States! It was a joy to hear about their ministries and share a little more about our ministry in Idaho. We made new friendships and strengthened existing ones. We loved having a room right next to Janelle’s parents, Jim and Janice Mitchell, who are also missionaries with BCP.

July 31 – August 2

Our church participates in our town parade. The parade happens each night of the Rodeo. Stephen enjoyed connecting with the community along with other church families as they passed out donated ice cream.

Our church also has a Lemonade Stand where free lemonade is given with an opportunity to share with each person about God’s grace!

Looking Ahead …

California Trip

Next weekend will be in California presenting in two churches. Please pray for protection as we travel, clarity in presenting our ministry, and more partners to join our team.

Youth Group

This summer the Youth Group enjoyed a series on Heaven. We continue this upward focus this fall  with our theme “ABOVE” based out of Colossians 3. We will be spending time each week going through this chapter verse by verse.

Two of the young people who are in our Bible Studies are seeking to get baptized. One of the teens, has done a complete 180 in the past 18 months and it has been very exciting to watch God work!

Bible Studies

1. We completed a New Believer’s Bible Study with the young couple that recently got saved. Please continue to pray for their growth in Christ and their knowledge of His word. We are planning to start another Bible Study with them to continue to grow their foundation in Christ.

2. One of the young couples we have been connecting with were recently married at the end of July. Stephen enjoyed praying with the groom and his groomsmen and we enjoyed celebrating the couples special day!

3. Stephen is continuing to lead a Young Men’s Bible Study. The guys had opportunity this summer to meet with Mormon missionaries every other week. The group they were meeting with was moved to their next mission location. Stephen was encouraged by how the young men were able to clearly share the gospel and interact in a confident, loving, and scriptural way with the missionaries.

4. Janelle just finished a Bible Study with a young lady this summer. Another young lady has recently reached out wanting to connect over coffee. Pray that God will use her to encourage this young lady.

Pray: our leadership team regarding what steps to take next to best card for our church as we are currently without an active elder.
