The Ladies’ Annual Fall Tea
We kicked off the fall events with our Ladies’ Tea. Time well spent with lots of laughs, yummy fall snacks, and time spent talking about God and how He continues to guide our path with His light.
“It is not the dark that is our foe, but rather our own self reliance- The Lord doesn’t promise the removal of the darkness but the assurance of His guidance in the midst of it. His Word gives us eyes to see our circumstances as they really are…”
– Ruth Chou Simons
Jesus Loves the Little Children
We are very thankful for your continued prayers for the salvation of our kiddos. Lately Jessa has been starting to talk more about Heaven, Jesus, and her sin. Yesterday Jessa told me that, “…she had forgiven Jesus for her sins. She had done bad things and sin could not be in Heaven.” Later when Stephen asked her some questions about her early statements she was distracted and couldn’t remember… but we are thankful that she is starting to grasp what Jesus has done for her.
Tract & Treat
Our church is right on Main Street in town and participates in the Annual
Trick or Treat Walk through the shops in town. We are so thankful for those in our church who lead and helped with this event. Around 1,000 people come through the doors of our pirate themed auditorium, The kids each received a tract about God’s treasure and enjoyed a treat and cup of hot cocoa!
Stephen & I took Halloween night as an opportunity to do some intentional visits with a few friends in our community. The highlight of our night was an opportunity to pet a Zebra one of our friends owns at a Animal Rescue in our town.
God Continues to Grow His Church …
We are so thankful that each week we are getting visitors… young families, older couples, and a few young adults. A few visitors have been wanting to connect and know more about our church – we are encouraged to see how God is working.
This past Sunday we had a Singspiration service focusing on God’s attributes and how He has worked in our lives this past year. Some highlights for us:
-
Our friend, Sarah boldly sharing her testimony for Christ. We are thrilled to see her and her husband continue to grow this past year and take active steps to get involved in our church.
-
Stephen was able to baptize two more men who are taking a strong stand for Jesus in our community and converts from Mormonism.
Please Pray:
-
That our kids will come to know Jesus Christ.
-
That our family will use this holiday season for His glory.
-
That God will direct our church as we take applicants for vacant elder positions.
-
That God will open more doors in our community for gospel advance.
