Ministry Update

The Mandate

We were blessed to attend the GARBC Conference in Salem, Oregon in June. We enjoyed sweet fellowship with friends from around the world and powerful teaching from Philip DeCourcy. We were reminded that the strength of our churches is not in numbers but in discipleship and sending people out to spread the gospel.  Six months ago, so many of our people had gone out that we were unsure if the ministry in Tracy was viable. But God has been working through discipleship and we are confident that for right now our mandate is to remain in Tracy, sharing the gospel.

As we focus on the ministry in Tracy this summer, we ask for your prayers as we seek to serve this mandate:

‘Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and by His vast strength. Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the tactics of the Devil.’ Ephesians 6:10-11

Vacation Bible School was this past week. Prayer that many families will be reached for the gospel.

We participated in the July 4th Parade with a float and Otter Pops. We had several families register for VBS from this outreach!

SOLD!

For 15 years, our house was the center of ministry in Tracy.  Many baptisms, fellowships, and bible studies happened there. Three years ago, we moved across town to a new house with our daughter Samantha. Our oldest daughter Janae lived there until moving out this summer.  After prayerful consideration, we decided it was time to sell that house. Praise God that it sold in less than a week in a bidding war. Our very experienced realtor was shocked because she had never seen so many people come through an open house. We were able to share with her that was due to so many people praying that day.  The sale of that house helps us afford to stay in this very expensive area and invest for retirement. We are thankful for God’s provision. When God called us to California, our biggest concern was the high cost of housing in this area. God has cared for our needs above all that we could ask or think. To God alone be the Glory. We held our last baptism and family meal there last Sunday! Please Note: We no longer receive mail at 1220 Appalosa way!!!!

Praise God that our Egyptian Muslim friend Nour has made a clear profession of faith.  Nour has expressed an interest in being baptized but not yet ready to take that major step. Pray for us as we continue to disciple him.

Prayer Requests:

  • Finances: Our smaller crowd has significantly reduced our income and the ability of the church to support us financially
  • Salvation: Marzi and Dino
  • Deaf Community: Expanded outreach to the Deaf
  • Visitors
