Ministry Update
Wayne and Shanna Dale
Grace Baptist Church, Scottsdale, AZ
March 2024
South Scottsdale is a challenging spiritual climate, but God has provided. In the last few years, 3 churches have moved out of the area. A Nazarene church next door sold their property to a developer who will start building condos. Wayne was able to meet a neighbor who came over to watch the earth movers. Meanwhile God is bringing people to Grace. We recently had a “Food Truck Friendship Night” and had about 45 people attend on a Sunday night. We had the opportunity for church members to bring friends and neighbors to enjoy street tacos and hear the Gospel.
We continue to work to update our building and catch up on maintenance that was never completed. We partnered with our utility company and received a grant to reduce the price of installation of LED lighting in our buildings. We also are in the process of completing the installation of our new AC units that have taken over 9 months to arrive. Jeff Benner, a CBM missionary and AC specialist has been overseeing the project. It has been a big project and a big expense, but we are glad to have it completed before the summer temps arrive.

We have been working to get to know various couples and singles in the church. We often meet up over a meal or recently we were able to catch a free Spring Training baseball game and then enjoy a Filipino drink and dessert. One member will be gone 3 months working and traveling in Ireland. Another family will be gone all of June. Multiple family will be gone for extended weeks in the summer. Please pray for continued numerical growth. Once we can arrive at a sufficient and stable attendance year-round, we can be self-supporting.
