Update – 4/5/24
We had a great Easter Sunday here in Preston. The building filled up with about 140 in attendance. My neighbor who I’ve had only surface contact with brought me a piece of mail last week. He confirmed I was a pastor and asked where our church was. Then he said he hadn’t been to church in a while and was thinking about coming. Sunday he and his kids were in the service.
We also had about 10 other visitors and a family that had left our church last spring showed up for the third time last month. We continue to be thrilled and thankful for the work God is doing here. In the meantime I came down with pink eye on Saturday, so I arrived late, preached and left early on Sunday. Thank you for your prayers.
Update – 4/9/24
Another good Sunday with a first time visiting family with three little kids, checking out the church, I believe they have a Mormon background. Also, a single guy visiting who is going through stuff and looking for answers. Pray as I meet with him tomorrow. At the same time we have seen a couple families pulling away for various reasons which is always hard to watch.
Please pray for Brian and family as they are trying to sell their house, a big step in the transition process for becoming the new pastor.
Please pray for Janice who will have knee surgery on the 19th, she has been struggling for a few months.
Thankful, in spite of my pink eye, for a baptism on Easter and a visit from a young man that went to our church in CA. If you are in God’s family you never run out of family!
