I just wanted to highlight a couple praises from our Wild Game dinner.

One exciting part was about a family.  One of the families in our church was LDS and when they got saved and started coming to our church, most of their adult children (they have 11 kids) turned from all religion.  The cool thing is that 4 of them decided to come home and visit their parents the same weekend and ended up coming to the WGD and hearing the gospel.  It was a God thing.

The other highlight is a man that had visited our church a couple times in the past who came to the WGD. Since then he has purchased a Bible, been in church and SS, come to Men’s breakfast and is doing a new believer’s Bible study with me.  He texted me to make sure we were meeting again this week!

In total we had 10 families attend that are either unchurched or LDS.  We will continue to build bridges with them and pray for God to open a door of faith.

Thank you for your prayers for this ministry and us. Here is a video with more information about us: Jim and Janice Mitchell

We were able to spend the weekend at Mountain Shadows Baptist Church for Pastor Ryan’s ordination on the weekend of the 19th.  It was a great blessing to be back and see many friends and share in the special time for Ryan and the church.  It was a joy to see the work that God is continuing to do there in CO.

This weekend back at our church a couple that came to the Wild Game dinner the last two years showed up in the service.  Then we were able to visit them in their home last night.  He is from a Luthern background and she had no church background.  Their next step was to join the Mormon church.  Now however they are very unhappy with that and very open to the gospel.  We had a very good conversation including going through salvation verses from his personal Bible.  I encouraged them to read through the gospel of John and after we left they read John 1:1-18 with study notes.  The wife texted a friend who goes to our church and she said to her, “so we read John 1:1-18. And let me say…mind blown!!! I never knew the stuff I just read!!!!  I’m exciting to keep reading!!!”  Please pray for Steve and Melissa that they would be drawn to Christ and find new life.

Also, I met with a guy that has come to the church for at least 4 weeks who is LDS but searching big time.  Please pray God will use our conversation in a gospel way.

Prayer Requests

  1. Praising God for the encouragement we received from Tim’s preparation of reports which demonstrate the great things God is doing through His servants.
  2. We praise God for the Ladies doing the Grove studies,  and their continue work on memorizing Psalm 103.
  3. We continue to adore Our Loving Creator who creates such beauty with the change of Seasons. Already we are seeing blooms and signs of Spring!
  4. Gratefully praising The Lord for restored health before we were to travel again. For the occasion today to worship with the body of Christ at Pinecrest Baptist Church in Millbury, MA.
  5. Praise God for the second opportunity the Lord gave us to have our Japanese friend along with the Kauffman’s who previously served the Lord in Japan, to share a meal with us, as well as clarifying the good news, at our home this year!

Wayne and Shanna Dale – church planters serving Grace Baptist Church in Scottsdale, AZ
In March we celebrated Shanna’s big birthday and 2 siblings and her mom joined us. We also had a small surprise lunch after church and introduced people to bulgogi, japjae, and kimchi. Praise the Lord for faithful members. Praise the Lord our church has been able to add members. We have a disparity between our young professionals and our retirees, but that represents our location and demographic. It means that each family unit that visits our church usually consists of one or two people and no children. While that is different than most areas, praise God He is bringing people here and numerical and spiritual growth is occurring.

Praise the Lord for our children. Rylee was in town for Spring break and we were able to enjoy a few days in San Diego. A woman from church invited us to use her condo and although the weather was cold, we enjoyed seeing the Pacific and visiting the zoo. We also met up with the fiancé to a woman Shanna had discipled as a teen in Peru. Then Wayne left and went up to L.A. for a Pastor’s Conference.

Please pray for evangelistic opportunities. The Super Bowl, and a large golf tournament was in town during February. Wayne volunteered as part of the Super Bowl welcoming committee and met many volunteers at the airport and even viewed a ticket. He spoke with quite a few local people who were volunteering. He also was saddened by the constant JW presence at the airport.

Please pray for opportunities to interject spiritual truth into others. One of our young men brought a friend to bible study who recently moved to Phoenix. He has been facing some challenges and wanted to meet up. He also wanted to try Korean food so I was able to get together to talk over a meal call bibimbap.

Please pray for spiritual maturity and growth. God brought this man last fall and he came to Christ. Since his salvation he has faced losing his job, and other spiritual challenges. Wayne meets with him and even indulges in his love for $.50 wings.

Please pray for our older members. This winter we have had numerous people with multiple heart stents, others with loss of vision, lung surgery, and various other medical ailments. This man has served faithfully and acquired an acute problem with sight and weakness. Presently there is another faithful attendee who is facing hospice and imminent passing to be with his Savior.

Thank your for your faithfulness in supporting the ministry here and our family. While at times ministry can seem overwhelming, we know that God has a plan and is faithful to us. Wayne lost most of the church computer files and a young new member helped purchase a new set up. We have had vehicle repairs and are paying more this year for taxes. However, we are very blessed. We are going through the book of 1 Corinthians and emphasizing the unity of the local church. Rylee will finish 2yrs at Faith and pursue an engineering major. Gloria graduates in May. Claire is playing soccer and learning to drive. Simon is playing basketball and playing piano specials in church. Wayne and Shanna were able to make it to their first Refresh conference and Wayne made some friends with some Burmese pastors. We are thankful for your prayers and support and pray God blesses you as you soon celebrate the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ!
